A pool noodle comes in handy for all sorts of things, including protecting your car door.
If you’re tired of whacking your car door agains the wall inside your garage (or even in the driveway, against a fence), this simple trick will take your worries away. Pick up some foam noodles from your local dollar store, and cut one in half, lengthwise. Next, figure out where your car door hits the wall–there are probably already a bunch of nicks there–and draw a vertical line through the area with a pencil. Attach the half-noodle horizontally with screws a few inches to both sides of the vertical line. This is when a power drill comes in handy, or you can do it the old-fashioned way, with a hammer and a screwdriver.
