Open wine without a corkscrew, and without making a huge mess. We’ve all been there–a great bottle of wine but no corkscrew! Perhaps you’ve just moved in and haven’t unpacked, or you’ve been meaning to buy a corkscrew but haven’t yet gotten around to it. No worries: you can open a bottle of wine with a screw and a fork.
First, remove the foil from the neck of the bottle. Then grab a long screw from your tool box or junk drawer. Twist the screw straight down the center of the cork. Next, using a fork for leverage, work that baby up and out of the bottle, and sit back and enjoy some good wine.
