Make celery crisp and fresh and ready for peanut butter once more.
Since celery comes in bunches–and let’s face it nobody eats an entire bunch of celery in one sitting–you might have some leftover stalks that have lost their juicy crispness. No worries! Cut the tops and bottoms off of the stalks and stand them in a pitcher of ice cold water. (Yes, it is like that science experiment in fifth grade; you can add food coloring to bring back the memories…)
This works for asparagus, too. The trick is to cut off the roots and tips, and let the ice cold water do the rest.
