Yes! We’ve finally found the answer to opening pesky jars. Sure, you’ve tried tapping it three times upside down (thanks Mom), and running it under hot water, but still the jar is clamped shut.
Don’t throw it across the room, though, just hold the jar firmly and scoot the spoon in between the lid and the rim of the jar. The idea is to break the seal, not the jar. If it doesn’t work the first time, try, try again–rotate the jar and keep trying.
Once the jar is open, you can breathe a sigh of relief and get back to your romantic dinner.
