Iron away melted wax that has dripped onto your slacks, sleeve, or any other piece of clothing with this easy tip!
It can be a pain when wax melts on to your clothing, and half the time people have no clue what to do but don’t worry it’s not complicated and is easily something that can be solved…. you just have to take the time to learn what you need to do…
When the wax melts on a tablecloth, it’s pretty easy to cover it up with a plate or a centrepiece. But what about when it drips onto your clothing? You’re at a restaurant or at home, and you move a lit candle so you can reach across the table, and the wax splatters onto your sleeve.
There’s an easy way to clean that up: use a hot iron and a plain piece of paper. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, a plain piece of people will do exactly what you need it to. Set the stained item on an ironing board with a piece of printer paper (a4 copy paper) over it. Gently press the iron onto the paper to heat up the wax. The wax will melt into the paper, and your shirt (or pants) will be as good as new.
How simple is that?
As you can see you’ve got nothing to worry about, which is great and it also means that you won’t have to throw away any clothes that might get wax on them. You won’t have ruined them, so you’ve got nothing to worry about.
Just simply spend five minutes one evening doing this and you’ll easily get the wax off. It won’t take you very long, and your clothes will look as perfect as they did before!
