Frozen treats can help cool down your dog on hot summer days. When it’s hot, your dog may not feel like eating his regular kibble, but he still has to eat. It’s easy to make healthy frozen dog treats.
Start with some canned pumpkin, chicken broth (no salt added!), or peanut butter. Spoon any one of these into an ice cube tray and freeze. Once the treats are frozen, you can pop them out of the tray and into a freezer bag so you can bring them along on your outings.
And don’t forget: hydration is key for dogs! Keep that water bowl filled.
