When you’re baking, sometimes the recipe calls for a yolk or for egg whites. But, without a fancy special tool, what’s the best way to separate eggs?
It’s so easy… as long as you have an empty water bottle handy. First, put the raw egg on a plate or in a bowl. Then, hold the empty water bottle and gently squeeze it to expel the air inside. Hold the empty water bottle over the egg yolk and, very gently, release your grip on the bottle. The yolk should go right up into the bottle, leaving the egg white on the plate or in the bowl.
