Cook pasta with less water and less mess.
Most packaged pasta advises you to boil something like six quarts of water before adding the dry pasta. Then, once the pasta is cooked, you end up pouring all that water down the drain (and sometimes getting burned by the steam while you’re at it). Try this instead. Measure your pasta into a pan. Add just enough cold water to cover the pasta, then bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often. You’ll have perfectly cooked pasta, without using all those extra quarts of water.
