Clean Suede with a Stale Bread Crust

clean suede

Clean suede the absolute easiest way with something you probably already have handy: bread. Yes, forget about sprays, gels and special wipes. You’ve got a simple, cheap and easy way to take care of dirty suede.

Take the crust off a piece of plain old white bread and let it go stale (leave it out, uncovered, overnight). Then use the stale crust like a tiny, powerful brush. It will clean your suede shoes, handbags, belt, or whatever else has gotten a little dirty. The stale bread absorbs dirt and oil, and the hardened crust brushes the suede back into shape.

Just don’t eat the bread when you’re done.
