Clean suede shoes the easy way, with sandpaper. For light-colored suede shoes, fine-grit sandpaper works really well to buff away scuffs and dirt.
Start with your dirty suede shoes, refreshing the inside of the shoes first to get rid of any smells (this will make the entire process a bit more pleasant). Then, use a dry, light-colored washcloth to wipe away excess dirt. You may find that the washcloth alone has enough texture to buff out scuffs. If not, using a small piece of sandpaper, lightly “sand” away scuffs and stains. Move the sandpaper in one direction only–don’t sand back and forth or you’ll risk sanding off all the suede!
