A Carabiner Makes a Great Leash Tie

A carabiner (sometimes called a “D ring”) comes in handy for so many things… and now, perhaps the best use of all, if you’re a pet parent.

You know when you need to quickly attach Fido’s leash to a pole, bench, or a tree? First you unhook the leash, then wrap it around the stable object, tuck the clip through the handle, and reconnect… all while holding your dog with the other hand. Complicated! Try this: just clip on a large D-ring to the leash loop (the part where your hand goes), and connect that to the stationary object. It’s that simple! And best of all, it’s a lot less likely that Fido will make a run for it while you’re fooling around with the leash connection.
