A Canadian doughnut (or “donut” if you prefer) blends together all the goodness of sweet, savory and juicy flavors we love. Start with an old-fashioned doughnut–regular, glazed or, even better, maple glazed. Chop crisply cooked bacon into bits and cover the doughnut with the bacon. (Is your mouth watering yet?)
Top it off with maple syrup and you’ve got a Canadian doughnut–or, perhaps we should call it a “bro-nut”!
There’s another version of this for the doughnut holes. Wrap each in a slice of warm bacon held in place with a toothpick. Perfect for bro-nut snacking on the go.
