Babyproof outlets the easy, inexpensive and temporary way. When friends and family with small children come to visit your home at the holidays, be prepared. There’s no need to run out and buy outlet covers, as long as you have a box of Band-aids handy.
The quickest way to make outlets safe is by covering them with Band-aids. The outlets will be finger-proof, and when your guests leave you can simply remove and toss the Band-aids. If a bit of adhesive remains on the outlet, wipe it away with a dab of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. (Don’t wash it with water or spray it with anything, of course.)
